Teaching Thousands of Owners How to Train Their Pets Since 1977
We understand that there is a lot of conflicting information available in books, over the Internet, and on T.V. as to the best way to train a pet. We welcome the opportunity to help you sort through what you have heard and read to discover what will work best for you.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to help guide you in this way.
So Who Do You Trust?
Hopefully, you already know someone who has worked with us and has given you a great referral. If you are new in town or new to pet ownership, we think it’s wise to contact your veterinarian and ask who he/she recommends. Garvin’s Pet Training is proud to be the training facility most recommended by veterinarians in the Tucson area.
Integrative Training Techniques
Here’s the real bonus! As seasoned trainers who have been in the training world since the 1970s, we are familiar with many techniques and methods of training. We do not believe that “one size fits all,” and we are prepared to customize our knowledge to your needs, and in a manner that will fit your budget. You can have the results you’re looking for!
Garvin’s trainers are all mentored by Karyn Garvin and are required to be licensed with the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP).
When we first met Peggy and Tim Haggerty, it was somewhat of a solemn occasion. Each day they found themselves wondering whether or not they should keep Sally or return her to the Humane Society. They thought that they may have taken on more than they could handle.
They had already worked with one trainer who believed that the reason they were having problems with Sally was that Sally thought she was the dominant one in the family. This philosophy, combined with the tactics this particular trainer recommended, did not resolve the situation but rather, made it worse.
